Adesola Yomi-Ajayi

Sola Yomi-Ajayi is a highly accomplished executive with over 30 years of financial services experience and a distinguished track record in leadership, corporate governance, strategic planning, stakeholder management, regulatory engagement, compliance, structured funding and enterprise risk management.

Sola previously served as an Executive member of the Board of Directors of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc, a leading African bank with global presence. As CEO of UBA Group’s International Business, she had oversight of operations in France, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States of America, while concurrently serving as Country CEO for UBA America. She also led UBA’s operations across nine countries in West, East and Southern Africa.

She currently sits on the boards of Heirs Holdings, UBA United Kingdom and the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU). She is also a member of the Executive Consultation Group of the OECD Blue Dot Network and previously served as a member of the Sub-Saharan Africa Advisory Committee of US EXIM and the Board of Trustees of the Institute of International Banking (USA).

Sola holds an MBA from the Aberdeen Business School, Robert Gordon University, UK and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute (UK). Additionally, she holds a Corporate Governance Certificate from the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania and a Leadership Certificate from the Harvard Business School.
