Aishah Ahmad is a distinguished Nigerian finance professional and policy leader, currently serving as the Founder & Convenor of Bridgforte Dialogues at the Bridgforte Center for Global Impact. In this role, she leads high-level strategic platforms focused on fostering global collaboration, economic inclusion, and sustainable development. Her work at Bridgforte builds on her extensive experience in international finance and public policy, aiming to bridge the gap between emerging markets and global financial systems through expert-led discourse and actionable strategies.

Prior to her current leadership role, Ahmad served as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) from 2018 to 2023, where she oversaw Financial System Stability. During her tenure, she was instrumental in increasing Nigeria’s financial inclusion rate to 74% and shepherding the landmark BOFIA 2020 legislation. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and CAIA Charterholder, she also chairs the Expert Leaders’ Group for the Graça Machel Trust, continuing her lifelong advocacy for women’s economic empowerment and institutional reform across Africa.
