Anne-Cécile Coly is a prominent Senegalese justice official and labor activist currently serving as a Technical Advisor at the Ministry of Justice. With a background as a senior court registrar, she has risen through the civil service to influence national judicial policy. Beyond her government role, she is a powerful voice in the labor movement, serving as the 1st Vice-President of the Women’s Movement for the National Union of Autonomous Trade Unions of Senegal (UNSAS).
On the international stage, Coly is a dedicated advocate for decent work, social protection, and gender equality. She frequently represents African workers at global forums, such as the UN’s High-Level Political Forum, where she pushes for the alignment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with national growth plans. Her work focuses on empowering women within unions and improving conditions for workers in the informal economy across Africa.
