Dr. Anit Mukherjee is a Senior Fellow at the Observer Research Foundation America, leading the program on global economics and development policy. His work focuses on the governance of the emerging digital economy, financial inclusion, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Previously, as a Policy Fellow at the Center for Global Development, he authored influential papers on biometric ID systems, digital financial services, and global standards for COVID-19 vaccination certificates. With expertise in public expenditure management, he served as an Associate Professor at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy. Dr. Mukherjee holds a Ph.D. in Policy and Planning Sciences from the University of Tsukuba, Japan and a Master’s in economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. His latest book is an edited volume titled “Rebalancing Globalization: Perspectives from the Global South”.
