Honorable Iftahou Ben Halidi is a prominent Comorian politician and a member of the ruling Convention for the Renewal of the Comoros (CRC) party. He currently serves as the Chairperson of the Finance Commission within the National Assembly of the Union of the Comoros, a role he has held since the 10th legislature following his election in early 2020.
In his capacity as Finance Chair, Ben Halidi is responsible for overseeing the legislative review of the national budget, fiscal policies, and economic agreements, such as those with the International Monetary Fund (IMF). He plays a critical role in the parliamentary oversight of government spending and has been active in facilitating dialogues between the Assembly and various public sectors, including healthcare and infrastructure.
