Osam Iyahen is a Senior Director at Africa Finance Corporation (AFC), with more than 25 years of experience in the international energy, natural resources and infrastructure finance sector, covering the entire project lifecycle from strategy to execution. His career includes significant contributions to multi-billion dollar development projects with major multinational and African energy companies, as well as multilateral and African financial institutions, governments and boards of directors.

At AFC, Osam led efforts for the origination, analysis, execution and management of development finance transactions in the evolving and transitioning energy sector in Africa. Over the past 16 years, he has built a strong franchise in the natural resources sector in sub-Saharan Africa, with iconic transactions worth more than $2 billion in oil, gas, mining, and related infrastructure.

Osam holds an MBA from the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University in New York and is bilingual. He is a frequent and sought-after speaker and moderator at major global conferences on oil and gas, mining, and infrastructure investment.
