Vincent Floreani is the Country Head for Benin at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a role he assumed in August 2023. Based in Cotonou, he leads the IFC’s efforts to stimulate private sector growth and sustainable development within the country. His current focus includes expanding financial access for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and spearheading initiatives to support over 10,000 women entrepreneurs in Benin by 2026.

Before his appointment in Benin, Floreani built an extensive career in international finance and economic policy. He previously worked at the European Investment Fund (EIF), managing agricultural and SME financial instruments, and held various positions at the World Bank, the European Central Bank, and the French Treasury. An economist by training, he also shared his expertise as a visiting professor at Sciences Po Paris between 2021 and 2023.
