Yewande Thorpe is a  Nigerian corporate communications executive who currently serves as the Vice President of Marketing & Communications at the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC). After transitioning from an early career in engineering and technology—supported by a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Lagos and an MSc in Information Systems and Management from Warwick Business School—she built a formidable reputation in global brand strategy. Before advancing through the ranks at AFC, she spent seven years at General Electric (GE) Africa, where she held pivotal roles including Head of Communications and Brand Marketing & Digital Lead.

She is the founder and curator of the popular beauty and lifestyle blog She Loves the Finer Things, where she shares her insights on style, skincare, and modern African womanhood.
